Guidelines for Presentations

Congratulations! You are going to present a paper at SEPOC 2023 in Santa Maria.

The SEPOC committee wishes you good luck with your preparation! Much of the preparatory work will focus on small details. Consequently, do not underestimate the time this will take.

These notes have been written to help you.

 

Author’s Checklist (presentation):

a) At home

  • prepare the presentation according to the suggested model Template presentation;

  • make the presentation preferably in the English language;

  • try out the presentation;

  • be aware that you have a limited time of 15 minutes for your presentation, plus 5 minutes for discussions;

  • send the presentation via form available.

b) 15 minutes before the session

  • go to the presentation room;

  • meet the session chairman and/or the staff;

c) At the session

  • speak slowly and as simply as possible;

  • stick to the time limit;

  • the papers can be presented in Portuguese or English

a) At home

  • prepare the presentation according to the suggested model Template presentation;

  • make the presentation preferably in the English language;

  • try out the presentation;

  • be aware that you have a limited time of 15 minutes for your presentation, plus 5 minutes for discussions;

  • go to the presentation room (online – link sent by the organization);

  • meet the session chairman and/or the staff;

c) At the session

  • speak slowly and as simply as possible (Online Presentation);

  • stick to the time limit;

  • the papers can be presented in Portuguese or English

Author’s Checklist (poster):

a) At home

  • Prepare the poster according to the suggested model Template poster;

  • make the poster preferably in the English language;

  • Print the poster (presentation in printed poster)

c) At the session

  • Bring your poster ready for presentation.

  • Remain at the presentation location all the time of the section.
